Trouble all my life
Well the Board kicks in around 2:40 of Rain & Snow and once it does i am feeling much better. I couldn't tell you at exactly which shows I got Rain
...
& Snow to open either 1st or 2nd set. But I do remember a 'coming in from the cold kinda feeling' Nice Cassidy with Donna backing vocals. Good Scarlet. Kinda good to hear this in the 1st set before FIRE comes on the scene in 77, The 74 versions are a little more psychedelic overall but still you can hear the building energy of the Scarlet jam needs an outlet! Nice MUSIC, it does not have the heavy jam yet but you can hear Garcia starting to light it up in spots. Crazy Fingers- Wow, Love this in the 1st set. Is this a Jerry cowboy tune? I am not sure but wow is this tune mellow. I saw Garcia do some very solid versions of this tune but it also had the potential to implode when Jerry had lyric issues. Donna sweet here weaving in and out of Garcia's lead vocals. The jam out of Fingers has the potential to really go places. In fact the first 5 songs of this night are legitimate 2nd set opened ended jam tunes Big River-and we are back to the AUD. o.k. T.L.E.O is Soundboard. This and FOTD really got a Quaalude treatment for 76. It does gives them a chance to really explore the jam. LLR- pretty nice version and in the first set! Gotta Love Donna Jean shadowing Weir . Ship of Fools-Wow! perfect placement for this tune. Promised Land-A good and rockin way to close Set One. Nice Boogie Woogie sound. "Los Angeles give me Norfolk Virginia" Nice set 5 for tune selection and execution with just an ever so slight sound drop-off in only two songs.

GOOD OLE GRATEFUL DEAD
here's my thing..i am a huge fan of the sbds however this sound reminds me more of like a living room show for some resaon!(good feel) either way u look
...
at this or listen i should say is that is is smokin! these were grate times..... and i have had many enjoying evenings to this show on the sbds as well as this one ! lets not be so picky! next thing ya know the auds will all sux ....lol however because there are sbds of out there this gets a 4 CASSIDY
The issue of sound quality of this first set is certainly founded. But I found with a little tweaking with an enhancer you can bring everything back up. This
...
show was recorded and mixed well...particularly Phil's bass and the piano has a nice level. Performance 4 out of 5 easy.

a bit of disa...
compared to the scarlet of june 3rd 76, this sounds particularly hissy and very compressed.....actually sounds muffled......too bad
